OH EM GEE
That was my reaction to this article, along with a slu of Italian profanities my Nonna used to say when she was really mad.
In case you don’t have time to read the entire article here’s the gist of it:
UGG Australia has unveiled its new “I DO” wedding collection. For those who don’t know what UGGs are, they’re boots; basically outdoor wearable slippers. I admit I own a few pairs because they are super comfy and perfect for those brisk Fall days.  But for a bride on her wedding day?! No way, josé! (Michelle Tanner Full House, circa 1990).
UGG has “glammed” up their traditional cozy boot by adding white and pink sparkles BUT that’s not all! The Bailey I Do! Boot is ceremony ready with a Swarovski crystal button surrounded by satin. *sigh*

Girls dream about their weddings basically from birth. And if they say they haven’t, then they’re lying. Everyone has seen Cinderella and everyone wants Prince Charming to show up at their house holding a glass slipper…. Not a furry boot.
Call me old fashioned, but a bride on her wedding day is supposed to be a princess, whatever her idea of princess is. And as much as it’s a union between two people who love each other… let’s call it as it is. The first thing guests want to see is what the bride is wearing. Everyone wants to be in awe of this beautiful princess for the day, entering a lifetime of happiness with her Prince Charming.
And I’m sorry but boots just don’t say princess, they scream hideous.
If the wedding was in the winter, on a ski hill in Alberta, MAYBE the boot would be acceptable for after the ceremony. But that’s still a huge maybe. Wedding season is generally between May – September, so if a bride decides she wants to wear boots in 30 degree weather, then girl needs to see a doctor asap.
I think this is just a money grab from UGG, trying to sell the “comfort” factor to brides. Between the numerous wedding reality tv shows and the buzz over celebrity weddings these days, UGG is trying to be part of wedding mania. Each year the wedding industry makes millions of dollars between the venue, decor, food, entertainment and clothing. So it makes sense that UGG Australia wants to get a piece of the wedding pie. But as most women know, beauty is pain. If your feet hurt, don’t worry, you still look gorgeous!
So to upcoming brides please stray from the overpriced slippers at your wedding.  I know you already got the guy, but you can still Seduce Him with your Shoes ;)
