BURST OF COLOUR
This morning as I read the Toronto Star a particular article in the Life section peaked my interest. The article titled "Colour-blocked shoe trend for spring 2012" talked about everything I've been saying about 2012 footwear fashion; bold colours are in this season!
The wonderful article written by fashion stylist/writer, Derick Chetty discussed the new trend of the multi-colour shoe. He writes, "The heel, the platform, the upper and the strap, can all sport various colours, making for some very kaleidoscopic looking footwear."

He quotes Fashion Magazine's Sarah Casselman on her take of the new trend, “It shows you’re a risk-taker and have a strong sense of style".
The article also mentions the history of the bold colour with fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and Dutch painter Piet Mondrian in the 1960s.

Clearly I have been a victim of this new trend and I LOVE it!
